Systems management with project RHQ
Tools in Action Abstract
This session will show RHQ, the open source systems management suite. Its functionality can easily be extended by writing plugins.
We will quickly visit its architecture, internal inventory setup and the subsystems. After this I will give some ideas on how to write plugins.
While RHQ can be used standalone as base for own management solutions, RHQ is also the upstream project for JBoss Operations Network 2.
Speaker
Heiko W. Rupp has a Diploma in Computer Science and works as developer at Red hat in the area of JBoss ON. In the past he has contributed code to JBossAS and other open source projects.
Heiko is the author of the first German JBoss book and of one of the first German books on EJB 3.
