Tools in Action Abstract
Java-monitor is a platform for Java system administrators to discuss and share their knowledge and experience. Java-monitor integrates a monitoring tool into the forum, allowing Java system administrators to monitor their Java applications for free and without the usual investment in hardware.
Kees Jan will demonstrate installing Java-monitor in a Tomcat application server. He will demonstrate detecting out of memory situations, detecting Hibernate session leaks, detecting Tomcat thread pool exhaustion and detecting thread deadlocks in Java applications.

Kees Jan Koster is a freelance Java architect and technical project leader. He is currently starting up Java-monitor as a community service, and as a business.
